Job Description Overview:

The National Account Manager will maintain positive working relationships with customers by implementing new products, marketing programs, problem solving, and managing inventory flow. The role involves increasing sales opportunities in specific US regions with existing customers and expanding business with new accounts and/or segments. Responsibilities include the development, implementation, and execution of programs to achieve business goals for ASUS products, including but not limited to Notebooks, Desktops, and Chromebooks. The National Account Manager may also train and educate fellow team members on their responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales and Inventory Management:

  • Weekly Sales and Inventory report analysis
  • Provide recommendations for accounts and Product Management based on model performance
  • Arrange and coordinate schedules and appointments for account executives
  • Coordinate and arrange weekly/bi-weekly/monthly meetings with each account
  • Take the lead on calls when management is not available
  • Take notes and create action items from meetings to be completed in 48 hours
  • Assist in setting up new items at accounts via the preferred format

 

Training and Trade Show Events:

  • Coordinate with marketing for event materials
  • Project manage from start to finish
  • Ability to present to large groups on ASUS products

 

Competitive Analysis:

  • Track promotions of competition at selected accounts
  • Ask detailed questions to accounts to better understand competition’s performance

 

Market Analysis:

  • Read Circana monthly reporting to understand the market
  • Provide recommendations to accounts based on market data
  • Work with ASUS partners (AMD, Intel, Microsoft, NVIDIA) to create win-win opportunities

 

Customer Service:

  • Escalate customer service issues and create a closed loop to satisfy end consumers and retailers
  • Actively utilize Salesforce.com to track account activity and performance

 

Marketing:

  • Work with Marketing to create solutions to support accounts
  • Manage marketing timelines set by accounts
  • Drive each account to place ASUS products in ads, ensuring proper messaging and images
  • Work with product management to secure shelf placement and marketing support within ROI guidelines

 

Forecast Management:

  • Input forecast for the Product Management team
  • Track delivery schedule to meet forecast requests
  • Communicate any deviations from forecast to accounts
  • Request POs based on forecast

 

Other Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Years of Education, Work Experience, Skill Sets, and/or Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent – preferred College GPA above 3.0
  • Minimum of 10 years of retail account management or retail buying experience in the CE industry
  • Advanced experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workflow priorities
  • Confidence to speak in front of large groups or senior management
  • Initiative to solve problems and create positive results
  • Strong communication skills via email, phone, and face-to-face within ASUS and external partners
  • Travel is up to 50% domestic
  • Proficient in English

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with national and regional retailers (Omni) – Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club, and regional retail
  • Experience with Walmart and Target Marketplace/3P
